Powerboats are mainly used for medium and long-distance lifesavings. They are mostly made of glass fiber and airbags. No matter which one, propellers are provided on the stern. Red Cross users, most of whom are inflatable inflatable boats, are lighter in weight, smaller in size and more mobile.
First, equipped with:
Powerboats should have the following equipment:
(1) The collision prevention safety nets are installed on the outboard engine blades, which can reduce personnel injuries (Figure 18-2).
(2) Auxiliary equipment such as anchors, tool kits, air pump, paddles, scoops, ropes, compasses, drinking water and communication equipment should be available on board.
(3) Lifesaving buoys, lifelines, liferafts, life jackets , first aid kits and other life-saving equipment.
Second, water lifesaving :
(1) When the wind is approaching and the top stream is approaching the squatter, when the squall is approaching, the engine will be idling or stalled depending on the conditions, rescued by life-saving equipment on board, and rescued by life-saving personnel.
(b) At the time of the mission, there shall be at least three people onboard, one is the captain, one is responsible for handling the boat and command, one is a lifeguard to be rescued when necessary, and the other is a supporter on board. The skipper shall not be allowed to enter the water under any circumstances unless he is overboard.
Third, outboard start:
(1) Check the fuel tank stock, fix the fuel tank on the ship's board, and connect the fuel pipe to the engine joint.
(b) The gear shifter should be placed in a positive neutral position. The pressure plate should be submerged in water before it can start.
(c) Turn the throttle to the starting position (START).
(4) Loosen the ventilation valve on the fuel tank cap and squeeze the oil pump ball on the tubing by hand until it hardens (indicating that the oil entering the engine is sufficient), that is, stop squeezing.
(e) Pull start rope to start. Put the emergency flameout pull rope on the left hand and then hold it over the top of the hood. Hold the handle with your right hand. Pull the rope first. When you feel that the snap spring is stuck on the runner, pull the starter rope once. When you put it back, do not let go. , should return to the position of the handle with the rope handle and then let go.
(6) When the cold vehicle starts, pull the choke valve out and start again, but immediately push the damper back after starting.
Fourth, should pay attention to when operating:
(1) Immediately after startup, check whether the engine cooling water outlet water flow is normal. If the water flow rate is too low, stop the engine immediately to prevent overheating and damage. The abnormality may be due to clogging of the cooling water pipe or breakage of the water pump blades.
(2) The throttle lever should be returned to the lowest speed position (SHIFT) after starting to move the shift lever forward or backward. When the cold car starts, it should be warmed up for 5 minutes before it can be operated.
(3) In the course of progress, there shall be no emergency, and no sudden deceleration may be necessary so that the rapids will not be poured into the boat by the barges. It is also not possible to suddenly shift forward gears to reverse gears in the process.
(4) When using the reverse gear, full speed should be avoided, otherwise it will cause severe vibration of the engine and damage the machine. When driving backwards, you need to use your hand to cover the hood to prevent the propeller from connecting to the engine and causing danger.
(5) During operation, do not open the hood to avoid danger.
(6) Pay attention to whether the ventilation valve on the fuel tank cap is kept loose, and be careful not to cause water leakage in the fuel tank cap, so as to avoid flameout or start-up difficulties in the middle.
(7) Do not allow engine blades (propellers) to idle.
(8) If the speed of the ship is suddenly reduced and it cannot be accelerated during running, shut down the engine and check whether the propeller is twisted to the drift (such as fishing nets, ropes, plastic bags, garbage, etc.), and if it has, clear it and restart it.
V. Flameout:
Rotate the throttle to the lowest speed and shift the lever to the neutral position. Press the stop button to stop the operation. In the event of an emergency, you must stop immediately. Just press the flameout button or pull out the damper or pull the emergency stop cord set on the left hand directly.
Six, maintenance:
(1) After the engine is shut down, the seawater inside the engine should be drained to prevent corrosion of the internal parts. The method is as follows: The outboard engine is placed in a bucket filled with fresh water. The amount of water in the tank must exceed the pressure plate. Connect the oil pipe, after starting, run for about 1 minute in neutral, then remove the tubing connector until the residual oil in the carburetor oil cup burns out automatically.
(B) Upright and fixed to the frame to lubricate the following parts: engine holders, engine tilt levers, refuelling rods, gear levers, stern set screws, and shafts.
(3) If it is not used for a long time, the spark plugs should be unloaded first, the specified oil should be filled, and then the number of ropes should be lightly pulled to enable the oil to fully flow into the internal parts of the parts and then be fitted back to the spark plugs.
(4) Check whether the wires are worn or broken and whether the parts are loose or damaged. Tighten the tight area.
(e) Check whether the tubing, fuel tank, and Strainer are cracked or dirty.
(6) Check the corrosion-resistant zinc plate. If it is seriously corroded, it should be replaced.
(7) Remove the blades and inspect the shaft for any improper wear. And check whether the blade is notched, bent or deformed and found that the abnormal shape should be repaired or replaced.
Seventh, other matters needing attention:
(1) The new machine must not be operated at full speed within 10 hours of use. The new machine should be used for 20 hours, ie gear oil should be replaced and replaced every 80 hours thereafter.
(2) Mixing oil ratio: In the new machine within 10 hours, the ratio of two-stroke oil to gasoline is 1:25, and the mixing ratio is 1:50 after 10 hours of operation. Too much or too little oil can affect the horsepower and damage the machine.
(3) When the propeller shaft is not moving, the gear shift lever cannot be placed in the inverted file position.
(4) When the gear lever is not in the forward gear, the throttle lever must not be forced.
(5) The engine (outboard motor) should be installed in the middle of the stern of the hull and check if the clamping screw is loose at any time. To avoid loosening during operation, it is best to use a rope to fasten the two screw levers together after clamping.
(6) There are 5 holes for adjustment of the engine's angle, usually placed in the 2nd or 3rd hole (determined according to the weight). The angle is too high or too low to affect the speed of the ship. When the height adjustment lever is lost or broken, it cannot be started. Otherwise, the engine will not be fixed and danger will occur.
(7) Mars plugs have certain specifications and cannot be changed indiscriminately, otherwise they will affect horsepower and start-up difficulties.
(h) The blades of the outboard engines have a variety of sizes and should be fitted with the most appropriate blades to suit the size and weight of the hull. Otherwise, the speed of the ship will be affected.
(9) Hand pressure pumps on the tubing line should not be sunned to the sun as much as possible to avoid cracking and damage.
Eight, rubber boats:
(1) The rubber boat should be lifted off the ground while it is being transported.
(b) Before entering the water, remember to plug the drain hole at the bottom of the stern. After use, unplug the water plug at the bottom of the stern, rinse it with clean fresh water and place it until the water droplets are dry, and then store it in a ventilated place.
(3) If it is not used for a long period of time, if the storage space is sufficient, it should be kept in an inflated state and not to be deflated.
So as not to break away from the fold at a time, it will be scrapped early.
(d) The ship's bottom is best removed for storage so as not to deform. If it is not removed, the keel should be deflated.
(five) When the ship's bottom plate is stowed, it shall not be stacked flat. It shall be placed upright, otherwise it may be easily deformed under pressure.
