At 12:13 on October 7, China successfully launched a group of "Jilin No. 1" commercial satellites at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center with the Long March II carrier rocket. The successful launch of this mission marks an important step in the commercialization and industrialization of China's space remote sensing application field.

The "Jilin No. 1" commercial satellite group includes an optical remote sensing satellite, two video satellites, and a technical verification satellite. The working orbits are all about 650 kilometers of sun-synchronous orbit. Among them, Jilin No.1 Optical A Star is China's first self-developed high-resolution Earth observation optical imaging satellite, which has various imaging modes such as conventional push sweep, large-angle side swing, same-track stereo, multi-band stitching, etc. The resolution of the pixel is 0.72 meters for full color and 2.88 meters for multi-spectral. It can be used for land and resources monitoring, land mapping, mineral resources development, smart city construction, transportation facility monitoring, agricultural estimation, forestry resource survey, ecological environment monitoring, disaster prevention and mitigation. Remote sensing data support is provided in areas such as public emergency health. The resolution of the ground pixel of Jilin No.1 video star is 1.12 meters, which is mainly carried out by high-resolution video imaging technology test verification, which can provide users with a new experience of remote sensing video. Jilin No. 1 technical verification star mainly carries out multi-mode imaging technology test verification.

The four satellites launched this time were developed and commercialized by Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. After the satellite is in orbit and working, the company will provide satellite remote sensing data and products at all levels through online and offline methods. The company will also develop and launch a series of high-resolution remote sensing satellites to provide users with high-resolution remote sensing information products worldwide.

The launch vehicle used for this launch was developed by the Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute affiliated to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. This is the 213th flight of the Long March series of launch vehicles.
