In addition to the quality of qualified pesticide products, the label or instructions of the product should also be clearly printed. When registering pesticides, there are strict requirements for pesticide labeling. The label and instructions should indicate the name of the pesticide, the active ingredient and content, the dosage form, the pesticide registration certificate number or the temporary registration number, the pesticide production license or the pesticide production approval document number. Product standard number, company name and contact information, production date, product batch number, expiration date, weight, product performance, use, use technology and method of use, toxicity and labeling, precautions, poisoning first aid measures, storage and transportation methods, pesticide category, Pictograms and other content. For the distribution of pesticides, the dispensing unit should also be indicated. Any lack of any of the above should be purchased with caution. Specifically, pay special attention to the following:

1. Pay attention to the name of the pesticide. Regardless of domestic pesticides or imported pesticides, the Chinese common name and content and dosage form of the active ingredients must be available.

2. Pay attention to the pesticide "three certificates". “Three Certificates” refers to the pesticide registration certificate number, production license number or approval document number, and product standard number. Domestic pesticides must have the pesticide registration certificate number, the production permit number, and the quality standard certificate number implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture. The imported pesticides directly sold are only the pesticide registration certificate number; the domestically imported imported pesticides should have the registration certificate number, the subcontracting approval number and the implementation standard number.

The pesticide registration certificate is divided into a formal registration certificate and a temporary registration certificate. For pesticides used in the field, the temporary registration number is marked with “LS”, such as LS20071573; the official registration number is “PD”.

Identification, such as PD20080005. For sanitary pesticides, the temporary registration number is “WL”, such as WL20060315; the official registration number is marked with “WP”, such as

WP20070316. When purchasing pesticides, you can ask the dealer to issue a copy of the pesticide registration certificate, and check it after purchase.

3. Pay attention to the scope of use. According to the crop diseases, insects, grasses and rodents that need to be controlled, select the same pesticides as the applicable crops and control objects marked on the label. When there are several products to choose from, it is preferred to use a product with low dosage, low toxicity, small residue and good safety. Highly toxic and highly toxic pesticides are prohibited on vegetables, fruit trees and Chinese herbal medicines.

4. Pay attention to the net content, production date, batch number and expiration date. The net content of the product should be indicated on the pesticide label. The net content should be expressed in the national legal unit of measurement. Solid pesticides are generally in mass units

(g) or kilogram (kg). Some liquid pesticides are expressed in mass units (g) or kilograms (kg), and some are expressed in volume units of milliliters (mL) or liters (L). Special products are expressed in an appropriate manner according to their characteristics.

The date of manufacture, batch number and expiration date should be indicated on the pesticide label. The date of manufacture shall be marked in the order of year, month and day. The year shall be represented by four digits, and the month and day shall be represented by two digits. Only the effect of pesticides within the validity period is guaranteed. There are three ways to express the validity period, which are expressed by the product quality assurance period, effective date or expiration date. According to the date of manufacture and the expiration date, it is determined whether the product is still in the quality assurance effective state. Do not purchase pesticides that have no production date or have expired.

5. Pay attention to the pesticide category. Under the various pesticide labels, there is a characteristic color mark strip that is parallel to the bottom edge and does not fade, indicating different types of pesticides, except for public health pesticides. When the pesticide product contains two or more different types of active ingredients, the product color marking tape shall be composed of the marking tape segments corresponding to the respective active ingredients. Fungicide - black, insecticidal / cockroach / snail - red, herbicide - green, rodenticide

- Blue, plant growth regulator - dark yellow.

6. Pay attention to the toxicity mark. The pesticide label should indicate the toxicity and its mark in a prominent position. According to the “Pesticide Toxicity Grading Standard”, the pesticide toxicity in China is divided into five grades: highly toxic, highly toxic, moderately toxic, low toxic and slightly toxic. Different toxic pesticide products should have different levels of marks, and the red mark should be used to indicate the toxicity corresponding to the mark, such as: highly toxic, highly toxic, moderately toxic, low toxic, and slightly toxic.
