The use of rapid plating technology in equipment and mold repair has its own unique features for partial repair of parts, convenient and flexible operation, saving maintenance costs and obvious economic benefits.

First, the basic principle of rapid plating

In essence, this electroplating technique, like the usual electroplating bath plating, is a process in which the charged metal ions in the plating solution are discharged and crystallized on the negative electrode plate. The difference is that the rapid plating does not require a battery, as long as the plating solution is rubbed repeatedly on the working surface, a thick and dense metal film is formed. As long as the power consumption is precisely controlled, the thickness of the coating can be accurately controlled, as thin as 2 m and as thick as a few mm, and can be arbitrarily controlled to ensure the size of the workpiece.

The primary tool for quick plating is a plated pen. It consists of a positive pole and a pen holder. The positive electrode is the working surface, most of which is made of graphite or platinum-rhodium alloy, and a layer of absorbent cotton is used to suck the plating solution. In actual work, the shapes of the workpieces to be repaired are various. In order to meet this need, the pens are strip-shaped, flat-shaped and round, and also have a semi-circular shape, a crescent shape and a ring shape, which can be free according to the shape of the workpiece. Use.

Second, the characteristics of rapid plating

1. Rapid plating can selectively and rapidly electrodeposit metal plating on metal surfaces or on non-metals that have been surface metallized. - The set of equipment can be plated with gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, nickel, tungsten, indium and other metals.

2. The coating has high bonding strength, good mechanical properties and strong controllable coating thickness. Generally no further processing is required.

3. The entire workpiece does not need to be soaked in the plating solution, and the part that does not need to be plated is not protected by the coating, and many pre-plating processes are omitted.

4. Rapid plating In addition to the equipment repair in the workshop, it can also go out to work, and it is also very suitable for the maintenance of mining equipment.

5. The workpiece to be repaired does not need to be disassembled and transported, and can be repaired on site, saving time and saving manpower and material resources.

6. There is relative movement between the workpiece and the plated pen, which usually requires manual operation. It is difficult to achieve high-efficiency large-scale automated production, but it is very suitable for equipment maintenance.

Third, the application range of rapid plating

1. Repair the worn surface of mechanical parts or tooling molds, restore geometry and size, and implement tolerance recovery.

2. Fill the parts with scratches, pits, plaques, holes and other defects.

3. Prepare or repair the protective layer on the surface of the part.

4. Large, complex, single-piece small batch of workpieces and partial nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium, tungsten, gold, silver and other anti-corrosion coatings and corrosion-resistant layers to improve surface properties

5. Improve the brazing properties of the material.

6. Use reverse current for dynamic balance de-weighting, deburring and engraving of molds.

The rapid plating technology can repair a wide range of mechanical parts, such as repairing the inner and outer ring surfaces of rolling bearings, repairing sliding friction surfaces such as guide rails, shafts and bushings, repairing rectangular splines and repairing surfaces with various oil seals.

Fourth, rapid plating repair work examples

There is scratch on the guide rail of a planer. The width of the scratch is 0.1~2mill and the depth is 0.1~lmm. The technology is used for repair. The process is as follows.

1. Plastic surgery. Use a scraper, fine trowel, oil stone and other tools to shape the groove, so that the plated pen and the bottom of the scratch can fully contact.

2. Apply protective paint. Apply insulation varnish to the non-repair surface of the machine to prevent the plating solution from injecting the base metal or generating replacement copper on the surface.

3. Scrub the surface to be plated and adjacent parts with acetone or gasoline to completely remove the oil.

4. Apply polyester glue paper to both sides of the surface to be coated.

5. Electric net. The voltage is 12V, and the electricity is cleaned and rinsed with water.

6. Activation. The voltage is 12V, first activated by the activation liquid No. 2, and the surface is black gray. After washing with water, the carbon black is removed by the activation liquid No. 3, and the surface is exposed to silver gray, and is plated immediately after washing.

7. Plated. Voltage IOV, washed with non-acidic fast nickel and washed with water.

8. Plated size layer. The voltage is 8V, and the high-speed alkali copper is used as the size layer. When the groove marks are shallow, it is plated once; when the groove marks are deep, the plate is periodically stopped, and polished with gold steel sand or fine oil stone, and then washed with water and washed with water and then plated with alkali copper.

9. When the workpiece is activated, the workpiece is connected to the positive electrode, the plated pen is connected to the negative electrode, and the other process is connected to the negative electrode.

Rapid plating technology is widely used, easy to use, cost-effective, and worth promoting.
