The system is designed with low power consumption, high intelligence, and multi-source sensing capabilities, achieving independent intellectual property rights. The "Smart Scarecrow" is an intelligent monitoring system that gathers and processes environmental data from farmlands. It allows farmers to remotely monitor soil conditions, water levels, and plant health. By analyzing these factors, the system can determine when to apply fertilizers or pesticides, reducing manual labor and improving efficiency. Data from each batch of agricultural products is uploaded to the cloud, enabling consumers to check production details by scanning a QR code on the packaging. To ensure data security, the system supports mobile access and alerts authorities if unauthorized changes are attempted. All collected data is sent to the National Coding Center and integrated with smart packaging solutions. In the future, whether it's milk or vegetables, consumers will be able to trace the origin of their food directly from the packaging. The device is cost-effective, requiring installation every 2–4 kilometers and costing about ¥5 per mu annually. According to research, using the "Smart Scarecrow" in greenhouses could increase yields by up to 30%, with an additional investment of around ¥300 per greenhouse. Professor Zheng Lirong stated that this technology aims to support the establishment of a nationwide IoT-based food safety supervision platform, benefiting both the public and regulatory agencies.
