First, the surrounding environment when the electromagnetic flowmeter is installed

1. Avoid magnetic fields, such as large motors, large transformers, etc. The magnetic field will directly affect the working magnetic field and signal of the electromagnetic flowmeter.

2, try to install indoors, avoid direct sunlight, avoid rain, such a situation will accelerate the aging of the electromagnetic flowmeter, directly affecting the service life of the equipment. If it cannot be installed indoors, you must do a good job of protecting the equipment, such as adding a protective cover. The temperature of the normal working environment should be kept at -20~60 °C, and the humidity is lower than 85%.

3. The surrounding area should maintain sufficient operating space to facilitate daily maintenance of the electromagnetic flowmeter.

4. Avoid vibration when installing, vibration will directly affect the normal operation of the equipment, resulting in inaccurate measurement data.

5. As far as possible, configure a grounding wire for the sensor part. The protective cable of the signal cable must be steel and well grounded. Never place the signal cable in the same conduit as the power cable.



Second, the requirements of the pipe section when installing the pipeline electromagnetic flowmeter

1. In order to obtain normal measurement accuracy, the electromagnetic flowmeter sensor also has a certain length of straight pipe section upstream, but its length is lower than that of most other flowmeters. 90° elbows, T-shaped tubes, concentric reducers, and fully open gate valves are generally considered to be only 5 times the diameter (5D) length of the straight pipe section from the center line of the electrode (not the sensor inlet end connection surface), and valves with different opening degrees. 10D is required; the downstream straight pipe section is (2~3)D or not required; however, it is necessary to prevent the butterfly valve disc from extending into the sensor measuring tube. The lengths of the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections proposed by various standards or verification procedures are also inconsistent. As shown in the following table, the requirements are higher than usual. This is due to the requirement to ensure that the current 0.5-level precision instrument is achieved.

2. In order to facilitate the maintenance and repair of the electromagnetic flowmeter, it is best to install a bypass pipe. If some special industrial and mining environments cannot stop the fluid, the bypass pipe must be installed.



Third, the requirements of the plug-in electromagnetic flowmeter installation

1. Process pipe section inlet/outlet straight pipe section: inlet should be ≥10×DN; outlet should be ≥5×DN

2, in order to make the instrument work reliably, improve the measurement accuracy, free from external parasitic potential / the sensor should have good grounding, the grounding resistance is less than 10. (If the metal pipe is well grounded, no special grounding device is required)

3. Requirements for installation location

Insert the electromagnetic flowmeter according to the situation of the pipeline in the field. If the flowmeter without the ball valve is installed, it should be installed on the pipeline without overpressure (that is, the flowmeter without the ball valve can be installed without pressure), and the hole is opened in the pipeline. Diameter 50, ready to weld the connecting welded pipe to the opening of the pipe; for occasions requiring continuous flow loading or unloading or not allowing the medium to overflow, a ball valve must be installed, that is, a plug-in electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure is selected; With a diameter of 50, it is ready to weld the connecting welded pipe to the opening of the pipe.
