Method/step

The first step is the processing of the template. The first to take a sound barrier model, or the easiest way is to go to the market to buy a sound barrier for others to use as a template, clean his surface, fixed on a plane, and then surrounded by wood around.



The second step is the weighing and proportioning of silica gel. Take an appropriate amount of silica gel into a mixing tank, and then weigh the appropriate amount of curing agent called hardener in accordance with the requirements of the silicone operating instructions, add silica gel, and stir with a stirring knife until uniform, the time is about 3-5 Minutes is appropriate.



The third step is silica gel vacuum processing. This step is also a very important step. If it is mass-produced, the mixed silica gel must be vacuumed to eliminate bubbles in the silica gel. The surface of the silica gel mold will be relatively smooth, and the time for vacuuming should not be too long. It is usually about 2 minutes.



The fourth step is to pour the silicone into the model box. Silica gel, which has been vacuumed, is slowly poured into a pre-enclosed wooden frame. The sound barrier model is placed in the frame. Always pour the silicone until silicone completely covers the acoustic barrier model.



The fifth step is to stay longer. Place the filled model in a cool, dry place and wait for the chemical reaction between the silicone and the curing agent to take place slowly. The silicone slowly starts to cure. The storage time can be about 24 hours. Of course, if it is mass-produced, it will not need to be stored for so long. It is placed for a long time to fully react the silicone and the curing agent.



The sixth step is to take a mold, also called stripping. This is also very important. Take care when taking the mold. The silicone mold is better. Because silicone is a flexible soft mold, it is very easy to take with respect to the mold.
